I am 23 years old weigh 8stone 7lbs and just been told I have type 2. But the doctor says it's really rare to have this. I don't understand how it's rare

Most people with diabetes Type 2 are a bit overweight, I would say that this is why your doctor mentioned rare. This website may give you more information than I can possibly give.
