I got test result today and my a1c is 8.0- are there any ways to lower a1c in specific? By the way I'm 35 and I've been diagnosed with type 1 since I was 18.

Better control is about the only way. Take a look at the first three threads in the T2 Section. A lot of the information applies to you as well, even though you are T1. Good luck with your control and management.
