non diabetic with lows?

My little girl who's 4 is having lows and is under the hospital but yesterday she couldn't get to sleep so I checked her and she was 8.5 3 hours after food is this normal it just seemed a little high compared to any other result we had? Thanks

The normal range for children, for 2-4 hours after a meal, is 3.9 mmol/L to 7.7 mmol/L. According to the website that I looked at, the blood glucose level can sometimes approach 10 mmol/L. I suppose that this all depends on what the meal consisted of. However, I would not want the elevated numbers on a regular basis.

Thanks when she first had the lows she was seen and they did tests which came back all normal and also we were told to take her to a&e but the made us wait each time they would come back up. We were told that she would grow out if it but obviously not and she's still having lows 2 hours after eating :(
