Anyone using Bayer USB Meter ?

I just order it from amazon $25. Like to know how you like it.

This is for my dad he is 85 so is my mom. I'm taking care of them both.

I have used this one and it is really easy to be familiar with. It really is easy to carry around and would not require that much space as it is just as small as your key. Though it is only applicable to one person, I would understand the setup as you would want to monitor personal records. I suggest though that you copy data and save them on a separate file so that you can track on your own as well. Some say that there are better logging methods but I think this one suffices.

I have been using mine for over one year now. I had hoped to make the log downloading process easier, but the software is problematic on a Mac. I travel a lot, so the size is a great feature.

I've been using the Bayer USB meter for over a year and very pleased with it. No problems getting reports on my Mac although I record all data in this program as well. I've used many meters over the years but USB is best and easiest.

Glad the Bayer is working for you. I didn't have a USB but a contour and I didn't like it, my bg was wildly fluctuating and found it was the meter and switched to the accu-chek which is more consistant altho may tend to read on the high side.

It's a good, small meter but there are issues. For one thing, the way it works on the Mac is nuts. You have to drag files from the desktop to the trash every single time you synch! And it doesn't auto-start when you plug it in. Come on, Bayer, hire a real Mac programmer.

The bigger problem is that the Bayer software is minimally featured compared to lots of others for tracking, and you can't export the data. I hope they fix that.

My only complaint is you can't record medication and/or diet details. So now I have to record elsewhere
