28/m Winnipeg, type 1. New member.
 

Hey,

My name is Matthew, im from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I'm 28 and have had type 1 since I was 18. My older brother is also type 1. I have had many ups and downs with my diabetes but am more dedicated then ever to get back on track. I have had my appendix removed, multiple nerve issues and been hospitalized with ketoacidosis all due to out of control sugars. I'm very athletic which is maybe been my saving grace. As a chef I find managing my sugars hard but I'm trying. I'm happy to have found this app.
