Welcome to the Forum! :)

I am sorry that you are having trouble. The first question I have to ask is: Are you doing everything that you can to control your diabetes?

I went through basically the same thing with my son, at your age. The Endo described it as puberty with diabetes. Meaning that the body is already messed up with hormones, during this time, and it only complicates the diabetes. We got through this and his control got better with age. Yours will get better as well. One thing that you can do is educate yourself. Read through the first three (3) threads in the Type 2 Section. The information pretty much applies to all people with diabetes.

Please give us some more information:

Have you seen an Endocrinologist and a Nutritionist?
What delivery method do you use for insulin? (Pump or MDI)
Are you counting carbs to calculate your bolus injection?
Are you active or sedentary?

One thing that I can tell you for sure is to test often, especially during this time in your life, and to concentrate on doing all that you can do to control your diabetes.

I go to my endocrine every three months . I am currently on the pump, and play volleyball and do competitive dance year round

If you are using the pump, then I assume that you have been introduced to carb counting. How is that going for you? I have found that the effectiveness of the bolus injection is controlled by the accuracy of the carb counting. There are several apps that will help, if you need them.

I do count my carbs and I have a menu of carb counts on my meter I just always forget to test and take inculin

Brianna;

If that is the case, then you don't need me to tell you what the problem is, I think that you already know.

Please take the five (5) minutes to test, calculate and dial up the bolus injection. Your body will thank you for this fifteen years down the road. I hope that your friends are supportive and that they will wait while you do this, if they won't then you need new friends.

We are the only ones that can control our diabetes, so that our diabetes does not control us.

Brianna;

I thought that you might be interested in a diabetes forum for TEENS. I hope that the information helps and that you enjoy the forum.

Well mine was 11.6 and it was high because I had been forgetting but when my doctors were talking to my mom and I they were really disappointed so when I came back two weeks later my A1C was 9.4 they looked back through my pump and they saw I had been doing my insulin and blood way more that made them really happy an it made me happy! And plus I'm only 12

I am 12 and my blood sugar is 13.2

That's pretty high. Highest I've ever had is over 14... You probably feel the effects of high blood sugar because you've probably only have had diabetes for a few years. Talk to your endocrinologist and have them adjust your settings. Unfortunately you can't just rely on basil rates to regulate your sugars, you need to bolus and check your levels. Both Animas and Medtronic have great pumps and are offering more every year.
