Alarms Not Always Going Off
 

Have been using GB for 9 months and am very happy. Occasionally the alarms wouldn't go off, usually when music was playing, but recently (since the last IOS update but definitely more evident the last couple of days) the alarms have just stopped going off. Last 2 days, no alarms at all. I have tried rebooting the iPhone and closing all apps/ restarting, turning the alarms off/on but no luck. Haven't tried deleting and reentering alarms yet but will do so tonight.

Any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem and now seeing this post I know im not crazy all three of my alarms have stopped working since last week iso5 issue ????

I have had the same problem twice. Both times after an IOS update. Delete the alarm and create a new one just like it. Hopefully, this will fix your problem.

Tried delete and recreate no luck , I think theres a ghost in the machine..

Same boat been using GB for about 2 months alarms had been working fine - in fact they are an awesome feature. However in the last couple of days they have stopped. Tried deleting and recreating still don't work HELP

Me too! I tried the delete and recreate to no avail. I suppose, in respect to the push reminders, that the GB App is currently not compatible with iOS5. Hopefully there will be an updated app soon.

Alarm Issues
 

I'm (sort of) glad that I'm not the only one experiencing problems but would have liked to see an easy solution - oh well.

Hmmm, tried deleting and recreating the alarms, entered a dummy reading last night and did get an alarm 2 hrs later but nothing for the bkfst and lunch alarms today. Will see what happens after dinner.

Has anyone contacted GlucoseBuddy about this or heard whether they are aware of the problem?

The record keeping is nice but the alarms are a key function of the app!

I have not had much luck getting in touch with them. I sent admin a message last week. They must be very busy, maybe they are working on a new release for iOS5. :D

It's the daylight savings time bug! Yes it is real and real serious for me . I have been using this app for 2 years and they still haven fixed this bug. Trying to be patient . But my short term memory is really bad so when I delete my app. And reload, I have to remember my pw! Well write it Down ! Lol very frustrating coz really I don't , then I have to remember how I get my logbook and data back :( omg what a mess. It's a pain for such a design bug :(

I Love My buddy I'm going to miss it when it's gone, really bad , well I may just have to get me a iPhone 4s so I can give my self a alarm , I don't know. Well I guess I can do that with my 3GS too, well now :) that's a idea. But I really love my buddy why can't the fix it :(

No I was just kidding, I finally figured it out, I had to delete my app and the reminders for some reason because of the daylight savings time bug in here, then reload it, then Reyes to figure out how to get my logs back , which took me all day and I was frustrated and said I would miss it when it's gone, anyway the 2 way sync is a add on from the premier goodies icon. Then when you get that loaded you can go to settings and select sync all and waalaa your logs back! :D

I am sorry I sound like a fruit loop. I am just excited and frustrated at the same time. I think I have figured it out! The GB is setting the alarm by GMT which means we could set our alarms in GMT and wouldn't need to switch the time of our alarms settings. I will play with it and see. I will post results.

No that would be too confusing. It is 238 am tomorrow at GMT now, lol I have 938 pm here in Carolina . That is just nuts.

So let me get this straight I have to delete the app and re-install for the alarms to work I'm not paying 12.99 to get back info ... Does anyone from GB ever read this forum . This is horrible programming imop .. Dano whats up with this

Lewal, you only pay one time and, wow was that how much I paid for two way sync? Anyway you don't ever have to pay for it again. And chill my alarms are still not Working :( they did last year when day light savings bug hit me. It does not matter about the GMT . I wish they did read this .

1. I don't know if they do or not, they haven't been here in a while.
2. If you think the programming is so bad, then you should offer your help and make it better, instead of complaining about it!
3. What makes you think that I know what is going on? I am a user, just like you, except I am glad to have the App!

The current GB Version 3.6.5 has not been updated to work with the Apple iOS 5/5.01 operating system. When the app is updated your reminders should work.

what alarms?

In the App they are called "Reminders" and the icon looks like a light bulb.

I have ended up the alarm option that comes with the clock app in the utilities folder to do the same

Is there any update to this info? I recently purchased GB and my alarms don't go off at all.
(Using iphone 4s with 5.1 operating system)
