Is it maybe a yeast infection? Or maybe dehydration? I am newly diagnosed and haven't run into this, but- I feel for you!!!! As if you haven't got enough to worry about... :( call the dr.? It might be something super easy to fix! I hope it works out!

I have a bit of trouble in that department as well. Even when I was younger, I had lubrication problems. These days, using a lube is pretty much normal for myself and my . As for desire...I don't really have too much of a problem with it, and usually if I do, it's because of my depression (at least it's something I can blame taking an anti-depressant for, even if I know diabetes can contribute to it as well :)).

I noticed that when my fiancee and I tried having sex I was kinda dry. I didn't know if it was because we rushed it or cause I'm always in the 200's. But I don't have any problem on the other department.

Before I was diabetic I had ZERO problems with dryness since I have become a diabetic that has drastically changed I have needed a bottle in both nightstands. It's common even if your blood sugars are good. No worries...just be prepared!

I was told by my doc that insulin can inhibit my sexual desire when I am running high. When I run high lvls my skin gets tighter, I bruise easier and dont heal as fast and I am prone to yeast or bladed infection so yeah I am not feeling sexy at the time. All the more reason to tighten up my control. Cause normally I like Sex I really do, just a side not make sure your lubes are sugar free ( not flavor.)

I found an awesome sensitive lube from ky. A little pricey but worth it in the end.

My OBGYN said try Olive Oil. It is natrual and won't hurt anything.

Hello, I always thought it was due to menopause. I became diabetic the same time I started the change.

I've been diabetic for about 15 yrs now and was always dry, but always felt like it. Then I had a complete hysterectomy now the desire is gone too. I found a lubricant that you insert about two hours before to help in the dryness area, but as for the desire no hope:( I like the olive oil suggestion!

I suffered from the same symptoms for years and through the end of a major relationship. These days I have learned to accept astroglide as a regular part of being intimate with my husband. You're not alone!

I have had the same problem. I have been a diabetic for over 10 years now, i was diagnosed when i was 11. I have also read something about diabetics having this problem during intercourse and that it is a normal thing for diabetics even if you have control over your BGL's. You just have to deal with it

Try a vaginal moisturizer. Use everyday for about 10 days then every 3-4 days. They are different than KY. I still use lubricant when needed but this has helped lots

Diabetes affects sex in many different ways. This may be something to discuss with your doctor.
