Is there any side effect of the medicine ISTAMET 50mg/500mg

I am 56 years old and a patient of diabetes mellitus since 2010 which I hope acquired through heridity as both of my parents are acute diabetic and under insulin treatment. After I started taking one tab each before both Break fast & Dinner, since last about 6 months my sugar level remains under control (140-160). Earlier I was taking insulin. Now would like to know is there any side effect of the subject medicine which I am taking.

Congrats! For us a reading of 6.7 mmol/L equates to a 120 mg/dl. Keep up the good work!
