Yes, diabetes is a constant responsibility to stay alive and healthy, but have to do these things, or suffer the alternative!! It helps to STOP resisting what IS and use that energy to stay healthy!!!

I understand what everybody is trying to say. Diabetes Type 1 is not the most easiest thing in the world. Yes we are going to have it for the rest of our lives. I would rather be taking care of myself then telling myself I am going to die. Yes we all have our up and downs don't get me wrong about that. We have to take each day at a time. We all have to be in this together. I have diabetic friends who I keep in contact we tell each support each other. It how we get threw life. If anybody would like to talk to me. I hate it too and when I get a high number I get very mad at myself and when it's to low I hate that feeling more.

I'm 17 years old. I got diagnosed with diabetes when I was 8. I've had it for about 9 years now. The last couple if months I haven't been doing what I need to. I'll bolus for what I eat but I won't check my blood sugar. Which is why I got this app. And I like to see that I'm not the only one who thinks that this sucks. I hate having to stop why I'm doing and check my blood sugar. And I hate carrying my meter around with me. Like when I go to the store or I'm out with friends I'll just leave my meter in the car. And I'm finally realizing that if I continue down this road. That I will lose a leg or an arm. I'll have to do dialysis cause my kidneys won't work. Or I can be blind. I have realized that I need to do what is right so I can live past 25.

I understand how you feel and trust me I looked up stuff like crazy and there is nothing in the United States to make it go away. There is however a rumor that Canada has a cure, there is a problem though. Getting the cure in Canada and coming back to the U.S, the insurance companies won't provide care for you, for anything. So unless you feel like relocating that isn't an option. I thought about doing this but I am engaged to be married and I would miss my family too much if I moved to Canada.

I've had Type1 for almost 45 years. We could have much worse diseases, take your time, and do the best you can. I highly recommend investing in a pump. It is the closest you can get to being "normal". Testing has gotten a lot better than it used to be, and the lancets are much finer. Keep trying and test as often as possible.

I am sorry but Canada does not have a magical cure. I live here and if we had it my life would be a whole lot better. Heck i even live in the city where Insulin was invented and I still have no cure.

I have been a diabetic for 34 years and I still hate everything about it. I just can't come to terms with it.

I've had this disease 13 years. It sucks, my life depends on a vile and shot. We all hate it and live with it so, let's carry on with the life we got.
