There is flourless bread out there for celiacs, if you get sprouted grain bread, it is hearty and healthy. Add some peanut butter on there of lean ham for protein and some fruit, glass of milk(not sure if you can have milk) and you have some good food groups going in!

Quick Breakfast
 
I'm not a big breakfast person. In fact I used to just skip it but with my diabetes I need to eat something. Here's what I have: 1 BagelThin with 1 slice of canadian bacon and cheese on it. I toast the bagelthin then put the cheese and canadian bacon on it and put it in the microwave for 11 seconds to melt the cheese. The total carbs are 27g.

Don't know if this helps. I don't know anything about celiacs. Maybe it will help someone else.

Breakfast alternatives
 
These have worked for me:
1) Morningstar sausage patties - they are vegetarian and quite good
2) Cottage cheese and mixed berries
3) Vanilla Greek yogurt with fresh fruit

I can't have any cereal without spiking my sugar. Hope this helps.

breakfast foods
 
greek yogurt (fage 0 or 2% plain) great carb count with strawberries or blue berries
or 2 pieces lowfat baby-bel cheese and a Pure Protein bar
or peanut butter w/apple
or hard boiled egg (1-2) and piece of fruit

but usually I eat the greek yogurt with fruit

then snack is cheese and then bar

what I eat for Breakfast
 
for me I eat different iteams every day. One day like today was one slice of toast and marbel sliced cheese with coffee. Yesterday seamee seed bagel with one half cheese and the other half peanut butter and coffee and on Sunday it was marble cheese cut up and a peach cut up and four ravoli and coffee. Saturday a BLT cut in half. At Disney World yougert and coffee fruit sometime during the day.

Try a whole grain bread (called black bread in Denmark) sandwich with low fat cheese and lots of low fat meats, mustard... Or for a bit less, we eat open face sandwiches here which is just a single slice of black bread and a slice of cheese, but I find it necessary to have protein with each meal to slow the absorption of the complex carbs.

Low carb breakfast
 
I like to make myself a soy or almond milk green tea latte with cinnamon. I get my antioxidants (matcha green tea loaded with them) and a gentler sustained caffeine boost. Also discovered cultured coconut milk which I mix with flaxseed with berry bits. All products unsweetened, organic where available and no artificial sweeteners. I'm lucky to live near Trader Joes and Whole Foods and alternate products abound!

Hi there,

Have you tried making a fresh smoothie? Great way to get some fruit and slow release carbs inside you first thing with minimum effort.

Here's what I have every morning without fail, I believe in a big hearty breakfast to kickstart the day :)

Smoothie (approx 70g carb):

x1 banana
x1 muller light yoghurt pot
1/2 cups of raw oats
semi skimmed milk

I also have the folllowing:

x2 wholemeal toast (approx 30g carb):
x3 boiled eggs (eat egg whites only so 0g crabs)

As I said a big breakfast, but it's healthy and does not spike my sugars due to the generally low gi content of everything.

I have a carb control yogurt made by Kroger (4 carbs) and 2 pieces of double fiber wheat toast with peanut butter.
